In 2005, the Houston, Texas group, KnittaPlease, originated a form of street art called Knit Graffiti, or Yarn Bombing to make public spaces more friendly and decorative. On this chilly January day, at least the signposts in front of Nabolom Collective Bakery looked warm and cozy. Thanks to local artist Streetcolor, and her assistant (The Russian).
