Oakland’s Tribute to Venice

Posted: August 13, 2012 in Uncategorized

I have driven on this street thousands of times in the last twenty years. But I never noticed this mural until this weekend. I especially love the unicyclist, and the way the windows are incorporated into the design. Posting on Oakland Daily Photo’s Monday Mural meme.

Very nice painting. I wish we could see something like that here also.

  2. The mural continues into the courtyard of the apartment building. Someone loves Venice. Not the first thing you think of when you think of Oakland. Oh, that’s right, we do have a gondolier! Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.

Wow! This is wonderful!! Where is it? If you’ve driven by it thousands of times, I must have, too.

It i wonderfully done the way the windows are incorporated. I like the cat walking on the ledge & the laundry on the lines!
